How it works
Every prediction is stored before the game and graded after, in public. Nothing gets edited later.
Two kinds of numbers here
Proven: IN, OUT and best/worst possible place come from checking every possible combination of the remaining games, so they're certain. Likely: percentages come from playing out the rest of the season 1,500 times using each team's rating and counting how often each finish happens. A percentage is our estimate, not a promise.
The rule every prediction follows
A prediction only counts if it was stored before the thing it predicts. Each sport writes its picks to a database ahead of time, with the reasoning, and grades them afterwards against what actually happened. Nothing is edited after the fact, and the misses stay on the page next to the hits.
Benchmarks, not self-congratulation
A record means little on its own, so every sport shows a public yardstick beside it. For sports that is the betting market's own forecast, the best public forecast there is, and we say plainly when the model trails it, which for NFL games is the normal state of affairs.
Explainable, even where AI helps
This site was built with an AI assistant (Anthropic's Claude) working alongside its human owner, who set the goals, made the decisions and checked the results; we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. The models themselves are ordinary statistics you can read about on each sport's own "How this works" page. Where a language model runs as part of the process (for example, reading news reports for the NFL), its input is limited, capped, logged with its source, and graded separately, so you can see exactly what it changed and whether that helped.
What this site is not
Every chance on this site is a projection from the data, not a promise. Nothing here is financial or legal advice. The numbers are published to show whether a method works, and to keep us honest about it.
Data and credits
Each sport lists its own sources. Sports data comes from the open-source nflverse project (CC-BY-4.0) and public market APIs; nothing paid, nothing scraped from behind a login. niftisports is a project of Nifti Mobility Group. Powered by niftiIQ.
